The faculty is a unique workplace within the Czech Republic, whose main research and development activities have long been focused on the following key fields:
- Materials Engineering,
- Technologies of production and processing of metals (ferrous and non-ferrous),
- Environmental technologies and recycling of secondary raw materials
- Thermal energy.
In accordance with the Industry 4.0 concept, industrial systems management and related automation and robotics for industrial technologies are also being developed.
