Politecnico di Milano: New collaboration in 3D printing, forming and materials characterization

The new collaboration with Politecnico di Milano will not only bring joint projects but also the involvement of Italian experts in teaching.

Recently, we had the unique opportunity to visit Politecnico di Milano, where we attended a presentation by the Associazione Italiana di Metallurgia and toured the state-of-the-art laboratories of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. We were impressed by the innovative 3D printing technologies, advanced forming methods, and modern approaches to material characterization. It was inspiring to see how cutting-edge research transforms into practical applications and pushes the boundaries of technology.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Professors Carlo Mapelli and Davide Mombelli for their warm hospitality and insightful discussions! We are excited about the prospect of collaborating on joint projects and actively engaging their expertise in our study programs. This partnership will provide our students with access to international experiences, cutting-edge technologies, and knowledge directly from leading experts in the field. As a result, we will significantly enhance the quality of education and strengthen its global dimension.

Thanks for this opportunity to the MATUR Materials and Technologies for Sustainable Development and Project Refresh, as well as to the Steel Union.
