Laboratory dealing with non-destructive inspection of materials - identification and evaluation of surface and internal defects of materials, including the determination of their characteristics and dimensions. Methods used are visual inspection, eddy current, conventional ultrasound and Phased Array.
Instrumentation equipment:
- IPLEX NX, TX videoscopes - visual inspection of materials, taking high quality images and video.
- Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge T38DL Plus - measure corrosion loss, measure base material through coating, measure thickness of material with multiple layers.
- EPOCH 650 - conventional ultrasonic defectoscope
- OMNISCAN MX, MX2, NORTEC 600 - eddy current based defectoscopes used to inspect metal parts for surface and subsurface defects, weld thicknesses, conductivity measurements, etc.
