Summary
The aim of the project is to optimize the parameters of the production technology of electroslag remelting (ESR) to achieve the useful properties of high-quality steels with higher added value. These special tool and structural steels are used mainly in the nuclear power industry, the aviation industry, healthcare, the arms industry and special engineering. The optimization of the ESR process will be focused on the study and design of the optimal slag regime, on the study of the thermophysical properties of steels and on the study of the structure of steels depending on the melting performance.
The solution of the project will result in original results of applied research, implementable into operational conditions during the production and processing of steel by ESR technology.
