Summary
Receptor modelling uses multivariate statistical methods to determine and quantify apportionment of air pollutants to their sources and so could become a valuable evidence for “result base air quality management” in areas with deteriorated air quality. As common air pollution monitoring doesn’t provide enough data to run the method, instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA) will be investigated. It is able to determine about 45 elements of the periodic table and provide enough data. The aim of the project is to run INAA for set of air pollution filters, perform receptor modelling and verify modelled data by analysing emissions from determined origin sources.
